Kellybrook Elementary

Kara Stanley

Welcome Letter

Dear 5th Grade Families,

Welcome to fifth grade!  My name is Mrs. Stanley.  This year I will be co-teaching with Mr. Evans and we are so excited to have you in our class.  This is my 18th year teaching here in Liberty.  I graduated with my teaching degree in 2000 from William Jewell College, and in 2004 I obtained my Masters degree in Educational Technology from Mid-America Nazarene University.

My husband, Adam, works for Cerner and we have two children.  Our daughter is in 7th grade at Heritage Middle School and our son is in 4th grade here at Kellybrook Elementary.   Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family!  We spend a lot of time outside with our kids and lots and lots of neighbors!  We like playing kickball, pickle ball, riding bikes and just hanging out.  Inside the house we play ping pong, air hockey and tons of board games.  We are huge sports fans and proudly support our Boys in Blue and our KC Chiefs.

We are so excited to begin the new school year and hop you are too!  Fifth grade will be a blast, and we will work hard to prepare you for middle school.
